SUMMARY: Safeguards persons and property by monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees and visitors, patrolling grounds and parking areas for violations, and escorting individuals to specified locations. Promotes and implements health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines.


  • Incident Reporting and Investigation:
    • Administer all accident/incident reporting; coordinate ADA claims management; and review and verify all accident investigation reports for completeness and accuracy in a timely manner.
    • Conduct and/or participate in accident investigation. Coordinate and conduct health and safety audits. Perform assessments in accordance with established procedures. Monitor safe working practices on an ongoing basis to ensure a high standard of excellence. Recommend corrective action related to hazardous conditions to appropriate sources.
    • Provide and maintain statistical data, reports and analysis of accidents/incident trends to operations in support of accident reduction goals and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety.
    • Respond to inquires and request for information in an appropriate manner. Maintain accurate records.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity at all times.

  • Compliance:
    • Development and continuous improvement of Company safety policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry leading safety practices.
    • Maintain safety and security manuals, reviewing and updating annually to ensure compliance.
    • Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment and reports malfunctions.
    • Coordinate Health and Safety Committee/First Responder activities, ensuring regular meetings and inspections are taking place, follow up action is being taken, and that required membership and certifications are met.
    • Attend other meetings as required.

  • Security:
    • Patrols area maintaining buildings and grounds security, responds to emergency situations, assists in searches, and observes and reports hazards.
    • Responds and assists with emergency and assistance calls, or other situations; notifies the appropriate emergency personnel as needed.
    • Assist with emergency evacuations and crowd and traffic control.
    • Takes action in response to suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards and unusual or illegal activity.
    • Completes logs or reports pertinent to duties or daily activities.
    • Monitors and authorizes the entrance and departure of employees and visitor.
    • Monitors surveillance system documenting any non-compliant activities.

  • Training:
    • Deliver, Assist, coordinate and track Health and Safety related training such as Powered Industrial Trucks (must obtain PIT license), Respirator, safety orientation, etc.


  • Associates Degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in training or instructing employees preferred.
  • Safety and Security certifications a plus.
  • Plan, delegate, and organize tasks to consistently produce results, with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient on MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
